I have been teaching kids to draw now for about 7 years based on techniques used in “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” I love to teach children how to explore the world around them through the use of line, shape, value and color. I show them how to really “look” with their eyes” by using simple proven techniques that help them learn how to put that vision down on paper.
Here was our first experiment with watercolor, class 2010
Learning about color
At the end of the year after teaching the basics in drawing 101 I like to try something fun with color. This year we played around with color pastels learning how to blend and work with this medium by copying some of the Impressionist Masters. See if you can recognize any of your favorites =]
